We've discussed baking soda in the bathroom as a cleanser and health
aid, but did you know it also has a place in your cosmetic drawer?
- To remove the residue that styling products, such as hairspray, leave
behind, add a tablespoon of baking soda to your favourite shampoo. Wash, rinse
thoroughly and condition as usual.
- Chlorine can turn blond hair green. Stop this from happening to
you by rinsing your hair after swimming with lemon juice and 1/4 cup baking soda.
Rinse and shampoo as usual.
- Treat yourself to a relaxing bath soak! Add 1/2 cup of baking
soda to warm bath water to soothe and condition your skin. Leaves your skin feeling
fresh and silky smooth.
- Refresh tired skin with an invigorating, yet gentle facial scrub.
Apply a paste of three parts baking soda to one part water in a gentle circular
motion after washing your face with soap and water. It leaves your skin deep-down
clean.
- Rub away the roughness of your elbows and knees with a baking soda
-water paste. Massage it into your skin and rinse with cool water.
